Tasman Community Pool

Our goal is to build a 25m X 6m pool suitable for everyone in the Tasman Community to be able to enjoy and use and to ensure that our children have the opportunity and environment in which to learn one of the most fundamental life skills - learning to swim.

The pool will be used for swimming classes during school, community access outside school hours and during school holidays, and lifesaving skills / swim squad training. There will also be a shallow toddler pool so the whole family can enjoy. The pool will be located on the school grounds.

Tasman Community Pool

Calling all past students, parents, families and friends of Tasman School, we need your support!

Tasman School has currently raised $240,000 which meets Stage 1 of our Pool Project target. We can now send out tenders and get a pool built. Please use these links to locate pool detail information.

To complete stage 2 and 3 of the project we need to raise an additional $110,000 for changing rooms, toilet, shower, seating, heating, shade sails, pool surroundings, landscaping, lanes, pool cover and cleaning equipment.

We are hoping the extra money can be raised through community and corporate sponsorship, we are asking that if you are able, please pledge your support of $500 and become a friend of Tasman School!

Your name will be located on the Friends board at the Tasman School pool. Donations can be paid directly into Tasman School Board of Trustees Bank Account: 12-3158-0195147-53.

Alternatively you may know or own a business that may be in a position to pledge corporate sponsorship. The following levels are available:

Naming Sponsor  $50,000 X 1 (The 'Sponsors name" Tasman Community Pool)
Gold $10,000 or above (maximum 5)
Silver $5,000 (maximum 5)
Bronze $2,500 (maximum 10)
Friends $500 - $1,000 (unlimited)

There will be a tastefully designed honours board in the prominent position at the pool acknowledging the sponsors, with names and logos. We will ensure that all sponsors will be non-conflicting.

Donations made to the school are tax deductible to the paying business/organisation because all state schools are 'donee' organisations. The school will provide an receipt for the agreed amount upon payment into the school account.

Anonymous donations are gratefully accepted and respected. To discuss any potential input into this project, please contact Kylie Rush on 027 5266125 or email rushgill@xtra.co.nz or contact Jodie Fa'avae at jodiefaavae@gmail.com
