On Tuesday, three budding Room 4 students visited Cawthron Institute in Nelson to have their water sample (taken from the Moutere Inlet) tested for fecal content.

Their results showed that the fecal count was higher closer to fresh water streams than further out in the Moutere Inlet and a lower count at high tide.

Maybe our fresh water streams are not so fresh afterall?
